Question of the Day

Do the Dallas Cowboys stand a chance this Saturday night against the undefeated Saints? Will the Saints be at full blast or will they hold out a bit knowing that they are set for the playoffs? If Dallas loses this weekend what are their chances of still making the playoffs?

What is Rugby?

This post is geared towards my good friend's curiousity in the sport of Rugby. He recently saw the movie Invictus and was very disappointed because of the lack of information to go along with the unfamiliar sport in an American movie. It must have been similar to the time I took my wife to an ice hockey game and she thought the lines painted on the ice were for decoration. She had no idea why the whistle kept blowing let alone where the puck was. Well don't worry William I'm going to break it down for you and for everyone else who may go see this movie. If the information is out there maybe it will be more enjoyable.
The sport of Rugby is often referred to as the "father" of America football, something my friend does appreciate. Although if that means it came before football he may lose interest being that it is a past time. "If it's america's past time, then let it be in the past," he would say. Anyway, Rugby is a fastpaced game with many changes in possession and very few stoppages in play. It is very physical like football but players are not allowed to block like in football. The game is played on a "pitch" which is similar to a football field or soccer field however the goal posts are at the front of the "goal lines". The ball is much like a mix between a football and a soccer ball. It is more round than a football and doesn't come to a point on either side. Each team has 15 players on the "pitch" at a time. 8 players are considered forwards and are generally bigger and stonger athletes. On the defensive side their are 7 players generally your smaller quicker athletes. Just like american football the game begins with a kickoff. Once the ball travels 10 yds it is fair game for either side, but it also is a game of field position which is key. When a player gets the ball he is free to run until he is either tackled, runs out of bounds, or runs past the goal line. Their are no downs and the players can pass the ball both laterally and backwards but never forwards. Essentially it's an 80 minute struggle of two teams trying to lateral the ball much like a football team that has to return a kick at the end of a game with the time running out. Here's the kicker, literally, the players can choose to kick the ball forward at any point and either team can retrieve the ball either out of the air or from the ground. This is used both to progress the ball forward or to reset field position. In order to score it is much like a continuous football game. A player can run the ball in to the goal area and that scores 5 points much like a touchdown. Following this type of score they kick the ball through the uprights for 2 additional points much like an extra point, only its a drop kick. Next, at any point in the game when their is a penalty called on the other team, the team that was fouled gets to attempt a drop kick if they are in range and it is worth 3 points. Also, at any point during the game if a player drop kicks it through the uprights they gain three points and if any of these attempts fail the ball is live. As far as when the ball goes out of bounds or their is a minor infraction their are 2 ways of starting play again a scrum and a line-out. The line out is when you will see the players lifted in the air to catch basically a jumb ball thrown straight up in the air by the team who was not responsible for the ball out of play. The scrum is probably the most known or commonly seen play where each team gets in a "line of scrimmage" formation and the ball is placed in the middle. At that point either team pushes forward until they can get the ball out from behind their line and the play begins at that point. Lastly, their is a need to know about the tackles. Tackles are allowed from the mid section down and once a player is tackled the play is not dead but that player has to immediately give the ball up. With the exception of drop kicks and no blocking allowed this is much like an american football game nearing the end of the game like I described earlier. Each team is constantly running and trying to advance the ball without passing forward. Sounds like fun!
Honestly, after reading about all of this and describing it I really want to play, however I'm even less excited about seeing the movie. Anyway, I hope this helps anyone who may see Invictus to try to keep up with it better than my friend Will. Good luck and enjoy.

Heisman Candidates

As you all know there has recently been 5 players named eligible for the Heisman Trophy this year in College Football. Those players are Colt McCoy of Texas, Mark Ingram of Alabama, Ndamukong Suh of Nebraska, Toby Gerhart of Stanford, and Tim Tebow of Florida. I have my favorite being Suh the Defensive Tackle for the Nebraska Huskers. Anyone who knows me knows that I am partial to Nebraska because of my beautiful wife Lindsay who is a true Husker, however in this case I have real reason to place my vote for the Beast.
Here is some food for thought. You have 2 Quarterbacks and 2 Running Backs up for the Heisman against him. Lets weed them out: Tim Tebow is likely up for the vote simply because he is a great leader. He has won the Heisman before and he seems to find ways to win despite his unconventional style of QB. He has had a less than perfect season and no one will argue that he is a better QB than Colt McCoy who also has an edge because of his undefeated season, Cross him out. Colt McCoy, like I said he has an edge on Tebow, however I have some very disturbing stats on him not to mention he actually has a lower rating than about 8 other QB's including Tebow who we already know doesn't deserve it. McCoy has faced 6 teams this year who actually won more than 6 games, 2 of those being Texas Tech and Central Florida. Against these 6 teams McCoy has 8 TD's and 7 Int's. Yeah his team has "blown" a couple of these teams out but one would think that since they seem to have a non existent run game that when they score 35 points in a game and win by 4 Touchdowns that McCoy may have a better ratio than 1:1 TD's/Int's. I think that this was made very apparent in 2 close game that UT had agains Oklahoma earlier in the year and Nebraska last weekend. In the 2 games against Oklahoma and Nebraska Colt had 1 TD and 4 Int's. To me the Heisman winner must have better performances in big games like this in order to wrap it up. Personally I don't think there is any QB that should ever win the Heisman with these sort of stats, I mean 12 INT's in a season of 13 games is not good. Cross him out.
Now for the running backs: Mark Ingram has had an outstanding year and plays in a very tough conference. On the other hand statistically Gerhart has had an even better season and runs with so much will that it's really hard to say that Ingram deserves this more than Gerhart. You have a RB with great stats in a really good conference against a RB with outstanding stats in a strong but not amazing conference. It's so hard to seperate these two that you almost see this as a perfect year to give it to the one who stands out the most. Suh has separated himself so much from any other defender in the game that I think he deserves the vote more than anyone else. This guy single handidly tore apart a good Texas line and got 4.5 sacks and 5 tackles for loss of yardage in the Big 12 Championship, a game that Texas was favored by more than 2 TD's. Sue has lead the team all year with solid defense and has really changed the game with his abilities to make tackles, rush the QB, and even block kicks. His performance is so outstanding that he has won the liking of the probably the whole nation because of his one game against the Longhorns. In my opinion he is the only real candidate who can be put in his own category as the best in the game. He deserves this and I really hope that the committee pays him for his hard work. Regardless of the Heisman he will be the best NFL player no doubt out of these 5 guys and you can bet that his draft outcome will definitely make up for not getting the Heisman if that's the case. Based on my comparisons I will rate these 5 in the order that I believe they rank:
1. Ndamukong Suh
2. Mark Ingram
3. Toby Gerhart
4. Colt McCoy
5. Tim Tebow

Now let me know what you think.

How old is too old? Favre is getting better when he should be getting worse.

Granted there are still 5 games left this NFL season Brett Favre has shocked the world with his performance to date. Not only has he lived up to his expectations as a hall of fame QB but he has now played way beyond what we thought and probably what even he thought was his potential. There was no doubt in anyones mind when he "retired" that it was his time to go or maybe even past that, but looking back at what he has done to this point I am so glad he decided to stay. I can't imagine what the Vikings record would be without him, but my guess is somewhere close to .500. Let's break down his stats this years: Passer rating 112.5 (never finished a season above 100), TD's 24 (on track to at least tie his all time season high of 39, and lets not forget the Vikings have AP who is argueably the best back in the league), INT's 3 (averaged 20 per season over the last 6 seasons), Completion % 69.3 (best in his career). Do we need to say anymore? Ok we will: Fumbles 1 (averages about 9), yds per attempt 8 (best in his career), Games started in a row 11 (ok so that is only average for him but you get the point). So if this is the best season of the hall of famer's career then what is it that is making him so good. Is it his receivers? No, I don't think anyone can argue that the Vikings receiving corps is even close to the NFL's best. Is it AP? No, it doesn't seem to matter if the run threat is working or not, Favre still dominates. Is it the coach? Maybe, I mean the willingness of Childress to hand the season over to Favre regardless of all of the hooplaw during the offseason could have been a boost of confidense but then again when has Favre ever gone into a season without complete respect from the coach? Is it the challenge of proving himself? Again, maybe but that really doesn't explain the incredible numbers. When you weigh all of the variables it doesn't seem to come to one key aspect. I think it just happens to be one of those teams who just clicks. Favre is really playing no different then any other year. He is just in the perfect position. Players like Rice, and Harvin look up to him like a father. It's as if they are just out in the back yard playing catch with their dad. Favre has been a great influence on the entire team. His presence demands greatness and they have all rose to the occasion. Without Brett Favre the Vikings would likely not be in this position of dominance, but without the young receivers, a great back in AP, and the undeniable trust from Coach Childress Brett Favre would not be having this kind of season. If you ask the other players on the team they will say that it is an honor to play on the field with Favre, but what really makes it special is that he will return the favor and talk about what an honor it is playing with them. It comes down to this, Favre is an incredible talent. He has all the experience in the world and the attitude and commitment like no one else. He probably could have played on most any other team this year and just had another season like all of his others, but the Vikings were the perfect fit and that is now very obvious. So, here is the question, will he play again next year? If you ask me why not, and if he does I hope the Broncos make room.

105.3 The FAN

So, the past few days I have been listening to sports radio while I'm at work and it's probably the worst idea ever. I am already plenty busy thinking at work and when I hear all of the BS that they blurt out on this station it makes me want to scream. For example: today they talked about college basketball and how pathetic it is and nobody cares about it. I can definitely understand that basketball is not a sport everyone loves and thats fine but I would think the majority of people would strongly disagree. The reason they brought it up was the ESPN promotional 24hr college basketball kickoff. They made some decent points about how probably no one stayed up all night and day watching some of the poor teams that were televised but fact is it was a great idea and college basketball players and fans enjoyed it. If they don't like college basketball then that's fine but to completely tear apart the idea was ridiculous. Whether the games were on or not they don't like the sport so leave it alone. Instead they spend every hour every day talking about the Cowboys. They talk about the same stuff everyday like the outcome from Sunday actually changes multiple times between Monday and the next Sunday. Truth is only a few games were played at ridiculous times because of they way they scheduled it. It was a great way for some smaller teams to get some TV time to showcase their 2009-2010 teams. If you notice the selection of teams they all either had a big time school or at least a school that has made a recent run into the NCAA tourney at the end of the season. Again, I thought it was a great idea and whether or not the ratings were amazing is besides the point.
My biggest problem with what they said today was that the Spurs v Mavs rivalry was the 3rd best rivalry of this decade. That is the biggest joke I have ever heard. Take for example the game they played 2 weeks ago. The Spurs were missing their 2 franchise players in Parker and Duncan and yet still beat the Mavs by double digits. Fact is if it was a tip top rivalry the teams involved would give everything they had every time they played. If Dallas gave their all in that game there is no way they lose to the Spurs with those 2 players out and if they do it's either because of a bad bounce or because they are completely pathetic, and if that was the case then how could it be a top 3 rivalry. I mean it was compared to Nadal Federer the 2 most iconic tennis players in the game. Mavs and Spurs aren't even the top 2 teams in the West.
Basically this station is all about Dallas teams and that's it. Obviously they have to being broadcasted in Dallas, but come on at least show some common sense and find some better stuff to argue about.

Question of the day 11/14

Is there a softer player in the NBA than the Dallas Mavericks Dirk Nowitzki who leads the league in complaints to the referees? (Question courtesy of William Eubanks my biggest supporter) Note:# of complaints is an unofficial 19 times per game which happens to be the same number of times he attempts a field goal.

Pick of the day 11/14

Tonight is the much anticipated match up in the Mountain West Conference. The 9-0 TCU Horned Frogs will host the 8-1 Utes of Utah. As the Frogs are near the end of the season with high hopes for the BCS, Utah looks to destroy those dreams as they nearly had the same thing happen to them a year ago in this game. Last year Utah was undefeated going into the game against TCU when they were evenly matched only to edge out the Frogs with a 4th quarter touchdown to keep the record in tact. The Utes went on to face Alabama who they blew out of the water in a BCS bowl game. The rolls are now reversed, and I think for all the right reasons. TCU has been outstanding to this point in the year. Although there records seem to be very close all of the advantages fall with the Frogs at there home field tonight where they are expecting to sell out for the first time since 2006. TCU has the 3rd ranked defense in the nation as they have won 7 of 9 games by at least 16 points holding opponents to 11 points a game. Their offense is 8th in the nation as they score 34.4 points a game compared to the much more concervative Utes who only score 16.6 points a game.
Utah although their record seems to be quite good has only faced 2 quality opponents this year losing to one of them. They had an early season loss to Oregon and an overtime win agains the Air Force Academy. Aside from those 2 games Utah has not faced opponents worth talking about and the wins they do have are not too convincing.
TCU on the other hand has wins against Virginia, Clemson, and BYU who was an early favorite in the MWC. Both Virginia and BYU were handled with TCU blowouts. The Frogs are lead by a confident QB Andy Dalton who has only 3 int's compared to his 16 TD passes. His receivers are spread out as they have 3 with over 22 catched on the season and multiple others with good performances thus far.
Utah will be looking to slow down this high powered offense by slowing the game down and limiting turnovers. If the Utes can stay on the field with long drives and convert when they have the chance they could hang with TCU as they have a strong defense. Utah has allowed less than 20 points in it's last 6 games. Unfortunately for the Utes TCU is going to have the sellout crowd along with ESPN gameday behind them to get themselves going. As weird as this sounds with 2 ranked teams in the same conference the line for this game is nearly 3 TD's, and it's obvious why when you look past the record and the ranking of the Utah Utes. Look for TCU to win this game easily. I think the Utes will keep it interesting for a while but in order for them to actually win they may need every possible break you can imagine. TCU should win and they will demand the attention of the nation if they can run away with this game. If they can get an early lead at all look for them to press and make this game look lopsided as it should be.

Question of the day 11/2

Today's question is regarding the NFL. At this point in the season what teams do you anticipate making it deep into the playoffs? Also, do you think it's possible for the Colts or the Saints to go undefeated in the regular season, if so who has the better chance?

Pick of the day 11/2

Tonight is going to be a fun night in New Orleans if you are lucky enough to have tickets to the Monday night game. New Orleans is hosting the 4-2 Falcons who are emerging as a playoff contender as their youthful yet confident QB Matt Ryan is working on another strong year. Tonight is going to be a tough night for the Falcons though. They are faced with a high power offense lead by Drew Brees who is having a break out year. The Saints have yet to lose this season as they have scored 45 or more points in each of their six games so far. I definitely think that this game will be entertaining but I highly doubt Matt Ryan's ablility to keep up with the offense of the Saints. It will likely be a shoot out knowing that even with the large point totals the Saints have put up they have also not shown an outstanding defense. Part of that is because they score so quickly that the defense hardly gets off the field. Look for the Saints to put up another big number tonight as they continue their undefeated streak and beat the Falcons 41-23. If you have Drew Brees in fantasy I don't think I have to tell you this but don't ever trade him and more importantly don't ever give him a week off.

Pick of the day 10/29

Tonight is a huge night for the Yankees. On the mound for game 2 of the World Series is AJ Burnett for the Yanks and the most hated player in Yankee stadium Pedro Martinez for the Phillies. The Phillies are certainly taking a risk pitching Pedro at this point in the Series, since he hasn't hardly pitched in the last month. Pedro is past his prime but they are hoping that his experience in not only the playoffs but the playoffs in the New York atmosphere will help him guide the Phillies to a 2-0 start to the series. Unfortunately for the Phillies this is not going to happen. Burnett has shown that he is on top of his game late this season. He didn't have a great outing in his last game against the Angels, but then again that's only going to light the fire under him to get it done tonight. The Yankees will win game 2 to even the series going into 3 games in Philadelphia starting Saturday. Although they would have liked to take both games at home before the travel day they are going to have to make due with a series split. The Yankees are going to bring out all of the fire power tonight. They will likely score at least 5 runs and probably more. Pedro will do some good things tonight and show his expertise in these types of games but I think the Yanks will get to him before he is able to go out on a positive note. Look for a high scoring win for the Yanks. Burnett will take it into the later innings possibly past the 6th or even 7th. The interesting part of this series will not happen tonight it will happen when the Yankees have to deal with winning on the road.

Pick of the day

Celtics vs Cavs in regular season game 1. For these two teams last year was nothing but a disappointment. Yeah they both made the playoffs and had great seasons up to that point but neither team was able to make it to the big show and for these elite teams that is how they are measured. Who will be able to come back from the painful playoff losses to have another great season and make their way back to the playoffs where they can redeem themselves. I think both teams stand a legitimate chance to make it to the post season again this year. Obviously the Cavs still have the MVP of the league in Lebron James and they have given him back up ammunition with Shaq. On the other side you have Kevin Garnett back from his season ending injury that likely kept them from making too far in the playoffs last year. They still have the big 3 in KG, Allen, and Pierce. This team has one of the great young point guards in the league in Rondo although if you ask me he still hasn't won me over completely. As for tonight when these 2 teams square off I think the edge will definitely go with the Cavs. Unfortunately for the Celtics they have some things going on off the court that may pre-occupy them tonight. Glen Davis is out due to a broken thumb which will also call for a suspension due to his off court actions Sunday night where he got into a scuffle. Also Rondo and the team have yet to come up with a deal to keep him from becoming a free agent at the end of the year so that could be on his mind tonight as the deadline for a deal is later this week. Without complete focus on the game you hardly stand a shot against Lebron and company. Lebron led the Cavs to the best record in the league last year with an almost flawless home record. Look for him to lead the team again tonight as they put a hurting on the Celtics.

Question of the day 10/27

What is up with the lopsided NFL? Is it just a coincidence that there have been so many blowouts this year so far and that there are still so many unbeaten teams or is the league showing some weakness? Will the NFL do something about this right away or will they wait, and what can they do to change the competition level between the teams? This question comes after multiple games decided by more than 4 touchdowns this past weekend.

Pick of the day 10/25

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!! Well for all you football fans out there I'm going to break down week 7 for you even though it's kind of a pointless week seeing how my Denver Broncos have a bye. I think bye weekends for your favorite team is like Columbus day. I mean yeah great you have the day off from work, but there is just nothing to look forward too.  Ok that's a little bit of an exaggeration because I still look forward to watching all football games on Sunday, but it's just not quite the same. For me personally if Denver isn't playing I like to just jump on the bandwagon for whoever is playing Dallas. This week I'm a huge Atlanta Falcon fanatic. Not really, I'm only joking but it's hard not to root against the Cowgirls. Anyway, on to my pick of the day, which is going to come from the Minnesota at Pittsburgh game. When choosing the game I tried to stay away from the Indianapolis game where they are playing the winless Rams. I thought it was just too obvious how the Rams would end the Colts streak. No, instead I picked a game where although Pittsburgh is just 4-2, they are actually a favorite as they play at home against the undefeated Vikings. These two teams don't meet often as they have only played 2 times since the 2001 season. Here's my question though, how are the Steelers a 6 point favorite to win this game. Yeah they are at home, yeah they are the defending champs, yeah they have the best defensive threat in the league back from an injury, but really 6 point favorite over the team who hasn't lost yet this year. Lets not forget the first 3 games Pittsburgh played this year. They beat Tennessee in overtime 13-10 at home. Tennessee!!!!, who hasn't won yet this year. Tennessee!!! who just got beat by New England 59-0. Next, they went to the Windy City and got beat. Chicago looks like a decent team this year, but then again it's not like they are undefeated like the Vikings. Week 3 the Steelers lost again, this time to Cincinnati who yes also looks like an much better team this year but still, nothing stunning about their season to this point. What I'm saying is the Steelers come into this game 4-2, so far this season the experts are getting them all wrong. Pittsburg has only been the victor in 1 spread this year. They are the favorite every week and I understand why they have been with the opponents they have had, but why this week? I understand the 3 points for home field advantage but why 6 it doesn't add up. Not only do I think the Steelers should not have this much respect but I think that Minnesota is going to move to 7-0 after this game. The Steelers play great at home and they rely mostly on their defense to win games, but this week they are going to have to stop both the pass and run. The Vikings will score points. They average over 30 a game. The question will be if the Steelers can keep up on offense. They have only scored 30 or more points in 1 game this year, and I just don't see them being able to have their offense on the field long enough to get that done. Look for Favre to continue doing a great job setting himself up with the running of AP. If the Steelers don't stop the run early and often they are going to get crushed. I can see this game staying close as long as Pittsburgh converts on offense and forces a couple turnovers, but they are going to have to play better than they have in any game all year to win this game. I will say this, if Pittsburgh somehow wins this game it could change my mind about their season in a hurry. This to me could be the start of another great season for the Steelers, but I would not count on it.

Pick of the day 10/22

I decided to go ahead and look at the game tonight between the Yankees and Angels. On the mound for the Yankees will be AJ Burnett facing off against the Angels Ace John Lackey. Although I'm 99% sure the Yankees will win the series I think that the Angels stand a real chance tonight. The Yankees have been just about perfect so far these playoffs, but something tells me that Burnett is not going to be what he has been as of late. He struggled for a good while during the regular season and I think that he could have problems tonight where the angels can really swing the bat in the home ball park. I know that Burnett had a good start his last outing but remember what the weather was like playing in New York. It was cold and windy and somehow every time the Angels looked to have hit a long ball the wind and the cold air kept the ball in the field of play. Tonight is a new story, warm weather, an electric crowd, and of course the rally monkey will all come in to play and you can forget about the Angel errors that they had in New York. All the factors point to a much better offensive performance by LA. Last time Lackey was on the mound he did give up 4 runs in just 6 innings but lets remember that only 2 were earned runs and he only had the 1 run of support given to him by Morales' RBI single. Even if he gave that same performance tonight without the 2 additional runs scored on errors the Angels would only have to score 3 runs to win. I can't guarantee much but I can guarantee that the Angels will score some runs tonight. Look for Lackey to be good enough to win tonight. He should have the run support needed to win and the Angels can always rely on late inning heroics with the rally monkey in the house. Angels are my pick of the day. Look for some long balls by the Angels and don't be suprised if this is high scoring. Guerrero, Hunter, and Napoli all have 2 homeruns off of Burnett in their career. It will be interesting to see if they play Napoli over Mathis tonight at the catcher position. Napoli seems to have Burnett's number however Mathis has come up big in the last few games. If Mathis does start Napoli's bat could come in handy late in the game.

Question of the day 10/22

Just watching the game last night between the Phillies and the Dodgers made me think of how important home field advantage is. I noticed how completely silent it got in that stadium during all 3 Dodger homeruns and how absolutely "bazurk" it got when the Phillies did just about anything. It was almost depressing as someone rooting for the Dodgers because just the noise level alone and the crowd support seemed like it set the pace for the game and LA never had a shot. Anyway, on to the question of the day. Which sport has home field/court/arena/ice advantage that is most evident, and if there is one, which team in that sport has toughest place to play?

Question of the day 10/21

Based on the horrific calls we have seen so far in the MLB post season, should the league be interested in implementing instant replay for more than just the long balls?

Pick of the day 10/21

Tonight is a great matchup in the NLCS Championship with the Dodgers and Philllies in which the Phillies look to seal the deal with one more win to get to the World Series. Pitching for the Dodgers and looking to stay alive is the crafty right hander Vincent Padilla who so far has pitched well in his first two outings in the post-season. On the other side of the ball Phillies go to the slinging left hander Cole Hamels. Hamels has been less than impressive throughout the entire year for the phillies as they have pretty much won games in only half of his starts. This will be the second time Hamels has faced the Dodgers this series. His first outing he gave up 4 earned runs over five and one third innings including eight Dodger hits. Keeping last year in mind though Hamels will hope to regain his confidence and pitch the Phillies back into the World Series for the second straight year.
With the cold bats working for the Dodgers look for Torre to play small ball in the first few innings to try to get an early lead. If the Dodgers are patient and force Hamels to throw the ball over the plate they should be able to get some baserunners. With the speed they have they can force the phillies to catch up and it seems like that is the only way to stand a chance against them. The Dodgers have a great percentage of the wins coming with only a small margin of victory so they know how to hold the lead even though that was not evident in game 4 when Rollins came up with a game winning walk off with 2 outs in the 9th. My prediction in this game is that the Dodgers will jump out to an early lead possibly with a couple runs in the 1st inning. I think the Phillies will certainly get theirs but after a few innings of Padilla grinding it out the Phillies will surrender to a 3-2 lead in the series after their defeat. Final score prediction for tonight is 7-3 Dodgers. Padilla will likely continue his streak and get to at least the 6th or 7th inning while Hamels might make it only to the 4th or 5th. If The Dodgers are able to fight off the blows early they will win and they will make it much more interesting going back to the warm weather in LA where they can get a loud Dodger stadium behind them and make this a series. Look for Matt Kemp and Casey Blake to have some big at bats today. I think you will see lots of hits for the Dodgers as they bare down against the young lefty.

Question of the day

Also, each day I will open up a question for everyone to respond. My hope is to open up discussion with this.

Pick of the day

Each day I will select a good game to predict the winner of, and I will share my thoughts on it. In some cases I may choose to just talk about someone to bench or play in fantasy leagues on a given day.

Hello

Hello and welcome to my blog. In this blog I will be discussing matters of any sport. Generally my posts will be related to Basketball, Football, Baseball, and Golf for both professional and college. If anyone ever would like to discuss a certain team, event, or season please feel free to make your posts and I will gladly give you my take. I hope that everyone will enjoy this blog to talk sports and be able to follow teams and players that may not get much media on say ESPN or other popular networks. If you want to talk fantasy sports or anything of that nature feel free to let us know your opinion. Thanks for joining me in the debate.
